So I know a lot of you have wanted to see how I actually go about creating a full logotype from start-to-finish, so I thought I would make this tutorial/walk-through showing you the process I take when creating one. Like I said in the video, this is by no means the only way to create a logotype, many other people use completely different methods, but this is just the way I do it. Some of these steps would be different depending on what style of type Im working on, for example, if it was a very neat and more classical style of lettering, I would draw out a rough version, and then go over it using tracing paper to make sure everything is aligned etc since pieces like this tend to be very neat. Anyway, I hope this video helps you out, and I know I speed through the drawing stage at the start, but this video isnt about how to create the type itself. If I made it in real time, this video would be over an hour long, and it was only intended to be between 10-20 minutes.
